Auxiliary Programs |
|---|
Each program that is supported by the WNGEA Auxiliary is important to all National Guard members. Most of the programs that are established are for the benefit of the membership, and their families. Many of the programs that we have also benefit all members of the National Guard. Our resolutions and legislative support program looks for ways to help get the word out to all WNGEA and Wisconsin National Guard members and their families. We help the WNGEA and EANGUS by getting specific laws changed that help and benefit all National Guard members. Most all of our programs are an extension of the EANGUS programs. All programs are set up to educate our membership, members of the National Guard, their spouses, and families on the functions and processes of the associations and auxiliaries. There are also internal programs that are used to thank members that have worked extra hard for the association. There are programs that through the process of our auxiliary membership in the WNGEA and EANGUS, we can get certain items at a discount, or cheaper rate. There are programs that the main purpose is to pass on information to the membership. What we want to do is explain how these programs work, and how you can be involved. Each program has a chairperson, or a manager. Each person in charge of a program is always looking for help. If you wish to contribute, please contact the WNGEA Auxiliary.

AUXILIARY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM In 1999 the State Auxiliary began giving out a scholarship. At present, the Auxiliary is giving one $700.00 scholarship but hopes to be able to give out more when we can increase our Scholarship fund. Money for the scholarship fund is raised at the annual conference through a Silent Auction plus donations to the fund. The National Auxiliary offers five $500 scholarships to Auxiliary members, spouses or children. Each state helps to raise the funds for these scholarships. Wisconsin has received some of these scholarships and we hope we can continue to have qualified candidates for these scholarships. Details on qualifying, and how to apply are on the application form. Scholarship application forms are printed in the Winter issue of the Bucky’s Bulletin each year. You can download and print a copy the application form from the web site: > State Auxiliary Scholarship Application and Instruction sheet > EANGUS Auxiliary Scholarship Application |
