EANGUS

eangusThe Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) is dedicated to promoting the status, welfare and professionalism of Enlisted members of the National Guard by supporting legislation that provides adequate staffing, pay, benefits, entitlements, equipment and installations for the National Guard.

EANGUS was formally organized in 1972 with the goal of increasing the voice of Enlisted personnel in the National Guard. Beginning with twenty-three states, EANGUS now represents all 54 states and territories, totaling more than 80,000 members. Headquartered in Alexandria, VA, just outside Washington D.C, EANGUS maintains a full-time staff to represent our interests in the Pentagon and on Capital Hill. EANGUS is a non-profit organization.

When Wisconsin National Guard members join, and pay their annual membership dues, part goes to the WNGEA for state dues, and part is paid to EANGUS for national dues. Each member belongs to both the WNGEA state association, and the EANGUS national association. EANGUS is our eyes and ears on capital hill, and the Dept. of Defense in Washington DC.

EANGUS also belongs to a coalition of most all military related associations that are in existence today. The Military Coalition is comprised of 30 organizations representing more than 5.5 million members of the uniformed services--active, reserve, retired, survivors, veterans--and their families. The Coalition lobbies the Legislative and Executive Branches for compensation, health care and other quality of life improvements for uniformed services beneficiaries. The more voices we have, the more our congressional leaders hear our needs. Membership in the coalition is by benefit of being a member of the WNGEA and EANGUS.
