Introduction

The WNGEA Awards program exists to celebrate the unique richness, diversity, and excellence of outstanding members, units, and special recipients that have fostered a supportive environment for its growth, leadership, and personal sacrifice to the mission of the Wisconsin National Guard Enlisted Association.

Have you ever done something just a little bit special? Have you ever worked just a little bit harder than you had too? Have you ever volunteered to do a job that no one really wanted to do? We believe at one time or another, we all have on an occasion put out that extra effort that gets the job done, or keeps their program going. And when you have finished your task, did someone notice your efforts? Did someone say, "Thank you?" How many people have stopped trying because no one took the time to notice what they have been doing.

The WNGEA recognizes the fact that we must take the time to thank the people who work for us, and for the reason we exist, that of bettering the Wisconsin National Guard.

There will always be persons willing to give us their time and efforts. All they ask is that once in awhile someone remembers to say simply, "Thank you." This is not much to expect when they have done so much. The Awards Program of the WNGEA is one of our important programs, with every award goes a message, "The Association noticed what you accomplished, thank you for a job well done".
